Refer your friends in time for Christmas

‘Tis the season to save money on your energy bills and help make a positive change by referring your friends to GNE! Get £60 just in time for Christmas when a friend switches to us through your referral link.

We love referrals. Why? Because it shows a satisfied GNE customer when someone signs up through their link. If you’re happy – we’re happy! And who doesn’t love saving a bit of money on their energy bills?

As a GNE customer, you’ll get £60 energy credit every time a friend joins GNE using your unique referral link. We’ll give them £60 too as a thank you for making the switch to reliable green energy.

And the more the merrier! That’s why you can share unlimited invites and get money off your energy every time a friend switch to us (as long as they’re new to GNE).

So, get loud, proud and give the gift of good energy just in time for Christmas!

Why should you spread the word?

As well as £60 energy credit for both you and your friend, joining GNE means:

They’ll save on average £85 a year with us compared to a standard Big Six deal

They’ll get great service, we’re proud to be rated 4.2* on Trustpilot

They’ll receive 100% renewable energy backed by REGO’s on all our fixed tariffs

They’ll be able to manage their energy 24/7 with our free online account and app

How to refer your friends through your online account

1. Sign in to your GNE account

 2. Scroll down to find the refer a friend box

 3. Choose how you’d like to share the offer – either click copy the link or share it directly by email, Facebook or Twitter. You don’t need to type in your link as this will appear automatically, but do make sure to type in a message!

 4. Your friends can choose to sign up online through the GNE website or over the phone. Once their switch to GNE completes, we’ll add the £60 credit to both your GNE accounts.

You can see how many successful referrals you have, and your credit earned in the refer a friend box on your account home.

How to refer your friends through the GNE app

1. Open the GNE app, you should already be signed in

 2. Scroll down and tap Share with friends at the bottom of the screen

3. Share your link with friends and family in a text or through your social media (don’t forget to add a little message!)

4. You’re finished! Your friends can choose to sign up online through the GNE website or over the phone. Once their switch to GNE completes, we’ll add the £60 credit to your GNE account.

You’ll receive an email once the referral credit’s been added to your account, usually in 23 days. And you can keep track of how many friends you’ve successfully referred by going to My account and tapping on Referrals.

Make sure your friend uses your link when they sign up!

Remember, so that both you and your friend get £60 credit on your account, they must sign up using your unique referral link! It doesn’t matter if they sign up online or over the phone. But we use the referral links so we know whose referred who.

See our Terms & Conditions for more details on our refer a friend scheme.

Have yourself a merry green Christmas on us

Important information

The gas industry is going through a period of change during 23 May and 06 June 2017. This change affects all gas suppliers, and as a result of this, you may experience a slight delay to your switching journey.

What does this mean for me?

Don't worry - you don't need to do anything. Your energy supply will remain uninterrupted during this extended period of transition from your previous supplier to us.

What next?

If you choose to move to Green Network Energy, we will manage your switch taking into account the industry changes and the delay.
